Later in the series, Brera Sterne was eventually revealed to be a Major in the Galaxy Fleet Antares Squadron. He became Ranka's bodyguard and loved listening to her songs, telling Ranka that he felt as if he was being enveloped in a universe that accepted him instead of rejecting him. Brera later assisted Ranka in delivering her stage 2 Vajra pet "Ai-kun" to the rest of its species.
