WEDDING RING Design: THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Logo

Awhile back, here at the Bat-Blog, we featured some Batman/Joker Tattoo Art Photos that had been sent in by a reader named Luis. If you read that post then you might remember that I said he sent us more photos & here are 2 more. The 1st one is a picture of Luis with his lovely wife. For their wedding day he designed some special wedding rings that he had custom-made. OK, you might have to click on the photo for a larger version (where you can see the details) but the 2nd picture is a close-up photo of the actual wedding rings. If you look very closely you can see THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Bat-Symbol Logo on both of them. Now, how cool is that?! Any woman who would allow "Batman" on her wedding ring is certainly worth marrying, ha ha! I wanna wish them all the best & really, they do seem like a very nice couple. Luis, hang on to her, she's a "keeper"!

A Very Cool Custom Batman Movie-Inspired Electric Guitar

Here are some really nice photos of a wonderful custom paint job for an electric guitar. It now has a "Batman Theme" that seems to have been inspired by the new THE DARK KNIGHT movie. It was made during the summer by a friend named Vince. I think it's pretty cool! On the front he painted a sunburst pattern with a Bat-Symbol Logo near the bottom. There is also a batsymbol on the back too. One thing to notice also is the very end of the neck was carved into a bat shape, a nice detail there! Overall it came out really great & is now a beautiful piece of art. The cool thing...it can play some serious music too! Thank you Vince for sharing these pics with us. You did an awesome job on this & you should be very proud. You ROCK, Sir!

Ernest's Cool BATMAN LOGO & BATMOBILE Toy Collection!

OK, I have said it a million times & I totally mean it, I love to see other people's Batman Toy Collections! It's always a game of "I got that, I want that, where did he get that?", ha ha! Here are some pics sent in to us by a Bat-Blog Fan named Ernest. He says that his main focus are the Batmobile Cars & just about anything with the famous "Yellow Oval" Batman Symbol Logo. I gotta say that there are some very cool items here! Of course it's almost impossible to pick out a favorite item here because everything is so awesome but I have to say that I really love the HUGE Remote Control Batmobile Car! I remember when it came out & I couldn't afford it at the time. But, someday, IT WILL BE MINE! Another neat thing to mention are the 2 Custom Driving-Light Covers that Ernest made. They are those 2 "Flat Yellow Circles" with Bat-Symbols cut-out of them that you can see in the bottom-center of the very last photo. They were made to fit the large Driving Lights on the front of his truck! These must look pretty cool all lit-up. Ernest, ya gotta send us a photo of that! In the mean time, I wanna thank you for taking the time to shoot all these great pics. Plus, you have the start of an amazing Batman Collection, keep it up! I want to invite ALL Bat-Blog Readers to send us photos of your collection...show us what you got!

Vickie's BATMAN BAT-LOGO Tattoo Art Photo!

I got this wonderful set of photos awhile back from a Bat-Blog Fan named Vickie & I'm finally getting around to posting them, whew! It's really cool, she got a BATMAN BAT-LOGO tattoo on her left leg. Shown here is the original artwork she gave to the Tattoo Artist to create this masterpiece. She wrote,
"I have a Batman Tattoo! I got one done in August of 2007 on my 18th birthday ( I'll be 21 this August ) and it was actually a birthday present from my Sister's boyfriend at the time. As it was my very first one I thought long and hard about it and chose to get a Batman-inspired tattoo, much to the jealousy of my Sister who also loves Batman!"
First off, Thanks Vicki for sharing the story & the cool pics, I appreciate that. Second, I'm glad your Sister is jealous because... she should be, ha ha! OK, if any other Bat-Blog Readers get some ink done then please remember to send us some photos.

Custom BATMAN Horse Saddle For Sale on eBay

OK, I was surfing through eBay the other night & came across this strange Custom BATMAN Horse Saddle. I thought I would share it because it's sort of both extremely weird & very awesome all at the same time. You know, kinda quirky. Actually, I guess if you do need a saddle then this would be pretty cool to have. It has the bat-symbol logo on it & comes in yellow or blue ( I like the yellow one better ).

Custom Art BATMAN LOGO SYMBOLS Metal Sculpture

The BAT-BLOG recently had a fan named Thomas send us these pictures to share and they're pretty interesting. Thomas has a friend who is a Sculptor & Product Designer who does custom artwork with metal. Thomas said, "I always thought it was pretty cool and he made really awesome stuff, but I never thought it would be anything I'd want to buy... until NOW!" Ha! What he's talking about is this amazing BATMAN SYMBOL LOGO Wall Relief Sculpture. Meaning, that it has a sort of 3D quality about it. Batman Fans will all know the symbols used here. Basically we got the "Classic Yellow Oval", then the more "Modern-Day" version. Then on top of that is the current logo used for the movie franchise...WOW! I gotta say that this piece of art is really cool & looks extremely well-done. If you enjoy CUSTOM ART, then please be sure to visit the Artist's website. His name is Elliott Bowser & you can see his stuff HERE! ( Thanks Thomas )

DC Retroactive 1970's BATMAN #1 in Stores Now!

OK, if you're hitting the Comic Book Shop today then you need to keep an eye out for this baby! This is the cover to the "DC Retroactive 1970's BATMAN #1" One-Shot. I love the old DC Comics logo, & speaking of that, I also love the 70's BATMAN logo too ( Click on the above graphic for a larger photo ). You see, these are the comic books I grew-up with & it's just nice to see them again. Of course back then they only cost 25 cents, "Holy Inflation, Batman!" This one-shot issue features both a brand new story and a classic story by Len Wein, originally published in the 1970s. It also features art by Tom Mandrake, John Calnan and Dick Giordano.

Oh yeah, for a teaser where you can read the 1st few pages for free, click HERE!

Check Out The Official Logo For ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′

spider

Although The Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn't hitting theaters until May 2014, it looks like marketing is already starting to pimp out the film.

A meetup has been put together by tumblr for this Friday night for fans. No details have been given aside from the time and location and "basic pizza" written on the invitation. But the more interesting part of it all is that it's our first look at the official Spidey logo for this film.

Hit the jump to see the invite.

You can get a decent glimpse of the logo on Spidey's chest in the bottom right corner, there. What do you guys think of the new logo? I think it looks good.

By the way, for those in San Diego who want to attend the meetup, tickets can be purchased here.

Product Review - Fathead BATMAN IN ACTION Wall Graphics

Recently I was contacted by the FATHEAD Company to see if I would like to do a product review. Of course my answer was YES and they were kind enough to send me one of their products. What do they make? Well, they make these extremely cool Super-Giant-Size Wall Graphics. They're actually very high-quality die-cut vinyl stickers that you can use to create a mural on your wall. They started out making real-life Athletes involved in Sports like NFL Football, MLB Baseball, NBA Basketball, NHL Hockey, Soccer, etc... but then later they got into licensed characters like Marvel Comics, Disney, Star Wars, Star Trek, and many more.

One great thing is they also do DC Comics Superheroes and one main character they do a lot of is Batman. Personally, I break down the Batman ones into 3 categories: Comic Book, Movie, and Video Game. So, there's a lot of variety. They're actually really fun!

For my review I chose a "Comic Book" version called, "BATMAN IN ACTION". The 1st photo up above shows what it looks like on their website. The next picture, down below, is what it looked like when I opened it and laid it down on my bed. As a side-note I should say I have a very large Queen-Sized Bed and this full sticker sheet thing is super-gigantic!

Now, I received this thing in a HUGE cardboard tube, well-packed & ready to go. They also include a very nice Plastic Tool you might need to remove any air bubbles from the product once you place it on the wall.

From the 1st moment you pull this thing out of the box you're totally impressed! The HD quality is completely insane! Honestly, the graphics are extremely sharp & the colors are vivid. The vinyl material they use is very thick with a nice texture & appears to be very high quality as well. All the pieces are die-cut and cut very sharp with nice smooth edges.

Now, the basic format for these is that you get one giant-sized "figure" of Batman ( or what ever character you choose ) and it also comes with a few other stickers as well. They too, are pretty BIG. These extra stickers add a lot of value.

The one I got came with five extras ( Six, if you include the "Fathead Logo" that is also die-cut ). Anyways, the list includes: "Batman on his Bat-Cycle, Batman Driving The Batmobile Car, a Stand-Alone Figure of the Dark Knight, a very Large Batman Logo Bat-Symbol, and a fun Comic Book Word Explosion with the Catchphrase, "Ka-Pow!" I try to show them in individual photos ( See pics down below ) with my hand as a reference for scale. See, they're really BIG! I'm thinking of putting the Bat-Symbol on my bedroom door, ha!

So, overall I would say that these FATHEAD WALL GRAPHICS are extremely well-made and a lot of fun. I plan on getting a few more in the future. Like I said, they have many different versions of Batman. You can see all their "Superhero Ones" by clicking HERE. Also, we recently did a story about their line of BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY ones which you can read by clicking right HERE.
