Bleach: Ishida Uryuu 02

Remember what I said about Filipinoes cosplaying really well?

Well, this is a good opportunity to introduce Jin, a cosplayer that rivals even Philippine Idol Alodia.

Jin is apparently from the Philippines, but the cosplaying is on the same class as the really good Japanese ones most people practically worship. This is a really nice cosplay of Ishida Uryuu from Bleach. I'm not sure if it's the lighting or the photography, but it looks really good!

Bleach: Hinamori Momo 03

One of my readers, who calls herself Aisling from Singapore, sent in her photo as a contribution to this blog. The photo was taken on the year end event of Singapore Expo or EOY 2008.

With so many cosplayers there, I definitely want to visit Singapore one day... To see the country aside from taking cosplay pictures, of course!

I think she makes a really cute Hinamori, and a stunning rival for the first two cosplayers I've featured. Thanks, Aisling! I hope you cosplay more soon!

Bleach: Inoue Orihime 02

I've recently shown a nice cosplay of Inoue in her Shinigami disguise... Now how about a school uniform version?

She has the most striking blue eyes I've ever seen... Although her eyes are supposedly brown in the manga and grey in the anime series... Hm...

I forgot to mention before that Inoue is actually an orphan in the Bleach series. She apparently ran away from her abusive home along with her older brother, Sora. Orihime was bullied when she was a child because of her hair, so Sora decided to give her hairpins. Orihime refused to wear them, thinking they were childish. Unfortunately, on that same day, Sora was killed by a car accident, and Orihime wore the hairpins ever since.

Anyway... Isn't she cute? Fair white skin!

Bleach: Neliel Tu Oderschvank 02

Sometimes, I don't understand why people feel the need to Photoshop images when the original is already impressive enough as it is.

Take this for example:

Do you remember this image? This is the original picture of the previous Neliel cosplay that I posted.

As you can see, she is quite pretty. So why would people still want to edit it?

Then again, it may have been merely for Photoshop practice. The edited version was actually made by Deviant Artist, Opeth Metal.

I don't know about you guys, but I think I appreciate this original cosplay more now that I've seen the 2 versions. Metal's photo manipulation was definitely impressive, but I like natural looking cosplays better.

Bleach: Sarugaki Hiyori

The former lieutenant of the 12th Division under captain Hikifune Kirio and Urahara Kisuke, Hiyori is a violent girl with a fierce temper who took the longest time to defeat her inner hollow. Even after she became a Visored, she still abuses Hirako Shinji, often using one of her sandles to slap him in the face, or even using him as a human sheild.

I think there was a change from "Vizard" to "Vizored" at some point, not sure when and why. But she's a rather charming Hiyori, don't you agree? I don't want to get in her way, unless I need a slap on the face. Great cosplay!

Bleach: Ichimaru Gin 02

Graduating from the Soul Society's Academy after only a year, Ichimaru Gin became captain of the 3rd Division after serving under Sosuke Aizen as the lieutenant of the 5th Division. He joins Aizen when he escapes to Hueco Mundo in order to fulfill Aizen's plans to "change the world". The only person he seems to truly care about is Mtsumoto Rangiku, a childhood friend and lieutenant of the 10th Division under Hitsugaya Toshiro.

I have no idea why he's carrying Gin's portrait. Maybe to show that the old Gin as a captain is dead and a new Gin, labeled a traitor, is born? It's scary at how similar they look though. Nice cosplaying!

Bleach: Kurosaki Ichigo 02

Kurosaki Ichigo has natural orange hair that always gets him into fights with bullies. He doesn't care what other people think about him and doesn't seem to mind fighting bullies either. He met Chad when they were still young, who was also a target for bullies because he refused to fight for his own sake as promised to his grandfather. Ichigo then decided to make a pact with him that they would fight for each other's sake.

I couldn't believe this was one of Jin's works when I first saw it. She really does know how to take on the character she's cosplaying, so much that it's hard to tell it's her! Great job, Jin!

Bleach: Neliel Tu Oderschvank 06

At first thought to be nothing more than a lost child in Hueco Mundo, Neliel is actually Tia Halibel's predecessor; a full-grown woman with a ram-horned hollow mask and a large "3" tattooed on her back. She is perhaps the most honorable among the Espada, sparing weak opponents whenever she could. however, this ideology caused her downfall, as Nnoitora Jiruga attacks her from behind during a duel and, with the help of Szayelaporro, manages to crack her mask. The duel left Neliel in her child-like form and gave her to have amnesia, allowing Nnoitora to expel her from the Espada.

A rather daring cosplay from MoeHaku 2010! She really has Nel's look down. I wonder if she had a hard time walking with just stockings? Thanks to Misha for sending this in!

Bleach: Kyoraku Shunsui and Yadomaru Lisa

Approximately 110 years before the series began, Lisa was the Lieutenant of the 8th Division then under Captain Shunsui Kyoraku. She was known to engage in reading to the youngest female member of the 8th Division, Ise Nanao, during the first day of each month. Although she seems detached and secretive, Lisa does have a playful side similar to Kyoraku's, as the two often shared mutual advances toward each other.
