One of Seigaku's "Golden Pair" along with Shuichiro Oishi, Eiji uses the style called "Acrobatic Play" which takes advantage of his flexible body. He has the sharpest vision on the team with exceptional talent in seeing moving objects. Although he lacked stamina in the beginning of the series, he was able to overcome his weakness through training and hard work.
