The most chilling creatures found in the pages of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire are the White Walkers (also known as the Others). The frozen, undead Walkers inspire fear, and this costume by Rex Rothwell does the same.
He started with a head bust of himself and sculpted the face to match one of the Walkers we’ve seen on screen in Game of Thrones. He replicated the look as much as he could and then cast the mask in latex. He continued by casting his hands and torso. Once the pieces were cast, he applied paint and hair and all the details that make the finished costume so frightening. Wow.
