Tonight I found some official photos of the new Batman: The Brave & The Bold Batmobile Toy Action Figure Vehicle by Mattel. This is the large toy that transforms from a car into the Bat-Jet ( or is it Bat-Plane? ). The pictures were so giant-sized that I decided to make a few Desktop Wallpaper Backgrounds out of them...enjoy! Remember, we post brand-new backgrounds every Wednesday!
Our good friend Reis, who writes the cool GEEK ORTHODOX blog, recently posted these 2 photos showing a BLAMMOIDS Batman Action Figure he bought. It's the 1st time I have ever seen what the packaging looks like so I thought I would share them here. Even though this line of DC Direct figures is extremely weird & even kinda ugly. Some of them are actually starting to grow on me a little bit. I might have to get a few of them, at least the Batman one....or maybe The Joker, ha! OK, as both a Toy Collector & Dealer for many years I have totally been in love with a toy company named FUNKO. They make those really cool "Wacky Wobblers" or Bobble Head Nodders. The company has been around a few years now & there are literally hundreds of these nodders that they have made. They're really great! In recent years they have expanded their line of toys with other items like Small Plastic Figures, Toy Banks, PC Computer Monitor "Sitters", & even Plush Toys. Well, awhile back, here at the Bat-Blog, we reported that Funko was coming out with Justice League Plush Dolls. As soon as I heard that news I knew that they finally got the "DC Comics" license. You see, they have been making Marvel Comics Nodders for a few years now. So, here's the great news! It looks like they will be coming out with a few brand-new Batman items!! The 1st picture is a "Wacky Wobbler" where Batman's head wobbles on a Batmobile Car Body ( instead of the standard "human body", like most nodders ). They have made a few of these with characters like Rat Fink, Betty Boop, & even Count Chocula, among others. The next picture, showing the Dark Knight perched on the edge of something, that's a "Computer Sitter". It's a small plastic figure designed & balanced to sit on the top edge of you PC Monitor. I'm showing one that they made of Spiderman, as an example. There is also a rumor that they will make some "Funko Force" Figures of Batman as well. That's what that picture of Ironman is there for, to show an example. They are very small figures that have a weird "sort-of cartoon" look. I think they're releasing these slower selling products with Batman 1st & will later come out with a ton of regular nodders...which, WILL BE AWESOME!! DC Direct just announced that next year they will release the 2nd wave of BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY - SERIES 2 Action Figures! We'll get to hunt down Batman ( Detective Mode ), Catwoman ( Meow! ), The Riddler, Hush, and Jervis Tetch The Mad Hatter! Look for these new toys around April 25th, 2012.
Here's a quick post to share a recent retail store find by our Good Friend and Toy Reporter, Batmobilly! He snagged these 2 new Hot Wheels DC UNIVERSE Cars the other night, a Wonder Woman and Bane! Looking on the back of the package is a newer "Batman" Car. Then, we have a random "Concept Art" photo of a few different cars. WOW, Mattel is going crazy with these aren't they?! The one in the very middle looks like a TWO-FACE Car, Cool!

This is pretty big comic book news, maybe not, but DC Comics announced the other day that Batman is going to get a whole new look. Here's a sneak peek at the latest version of his bat-suit (or costume). It looks like they have brought back the classic "yellow oval" chest emblem, that's cool. It also looks like he has a new utility belt in a light gray, almost white, color. So, I'm now curious. What do YOU think about it? Please leave some comments.
Our Batman Toy News Reporter BATMOBILLY spotted this amazing store display the other night at Toys-R-Us!! It's for the new Batman TRIO DC SUPER FRIENDS Building Block Toys by Fisher Price ( click on the pics for larger, more detailed, versions ). I bet that when he went around the corner & saw this thing his eyeballs must have bounced out of his head, ha! Anyone who has been reading the Bat-Blog for any length of time knows I am totally goo-goo over Funko Toys, ha ha, so check these out! Here's some wonderful photos of the brand-new FUNKO FORCE Mini-Action Figures ( with Bobble Head action! ) that will be coming out! At first I was just gonna show the BATMAN & JOKER ones, because this blog is mainly about "collecting Batman stuff", but the others were so cool I decided to add them too, ha ha! The extras include: SUPERMAN, GREEN LANTERN, & AQUAMAN. Oh man, I am totally loving these cool new toys & the JOKER one has got to be my personal favorite, ha! The cars & trucks all feature Gorilla Grodd, Green Arrow, Batman, & Joker graphics. Yes, my favorite one is the purple car with the Joker on it. But actually, they're all pretty neat. Dang, DC Direct keeps cranking out those BATMAN BLACK AND WHITE Statues! But I think they're pretty cool so I'm not complaining. This latest statue was designed by Cliff Chiang with a look inspired by the Dark Knight's appearances in FIRST WAVE! Cold-cast in porcelain, the statue measures approximately 7 1/4" high, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black and white box. looks like it will have a Retail price around $ 80.00 and will be released October 5th, 2011.
On March 15th, which is today, Warner Bros is releasing BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Season One, Part Two on DVD! The cool thing, it's a 2-Disc DVD Set! So please be sure to watch for it soon. Shown up above is the original box art. Then, down below is a BATMAN DVD Wallpaper you can use as a background on your PC. You know, to help remind you about this new volume. Plus, the artwork is really cool.This brand-new BATMAN DVD Set features the show's final 13 Animated Adventures in Season One. DC Direct just announced a brand-new BATMAN Statue that will be coming out later this year. It's a Maquette Figure based on the BATMAN: YEAR ONE character from the DC Universe Animated Original Movie DVD. Oh man, it's beautiful! I like the retro-style. It was sculpted by DEREK MILLER. This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain Maquette-Statue of BATMAN will be released on September 27th, 2011. It will measure about 9.8" high x 7.75" wide x 5" deep. Also, it's a Limited Edition. Here's a cool video a friend sent us a link to. It's a basic presentation by a Mattel Spokeperson of some new IMAGINEXT DC SUPER FRIENDS TOYS coming out this year. These were presented at the last 2011 TOY FAIR. It looks like they're coming out with a brand-new multi-level Bat-Cave and a ton of new Batman Figures! Here, we get to see the Penguin & his Penguin-Sub, Another Batmobile Vehicle, Clayface, & Catwoman with her Cat-Cycle. Man, how many items are they making for this toy line? I'm gonna need 3 more jobs to buy all of this stuff, ha ha!
OK, if you're hitting the Comic Book Shop today then you need to keep an eye out for this baby! This is the cover to the "DC Retroactive 1970's BATMAN #1" One-Shot. I love the old DC Comics logo, & speaking of that, I also love the 70's BATMAN logo too ( Click on the above graphic for a larger photo ). You see, these are the comic books I grew-up with & it's just nice to see them again. Of course back then they only cost 25 cents, "Holy Inflation, Batman!" This one-shot issue features both a brand new story and a classic story by Len Wein, originally published in the 1970s. It also features art by Tom Mandrake, John Calnan and Dick Giordano.

At the recent 2011 New York Comic Con there was a lot of hype about LEGO TOYS bringing back the LEGO BATMAN Merchandise. This is great news for Bat-Collectors because this stuff was extremely cool! Not only were the toys wonderful but they based a video game on the figures that proved quite popular. Now, you know the BAT-BLOG.COM is gonna be all over this so please stay tuned to that. In the mean time, here's a photo of the brand-new 2nd Version LEGO BATMAN BATCAVE for you to drool over, click on it... I'm lovin' it! ( Poison Ivy and Bane! )
Next year, around April 2012, be sure to keep an eye out for these special DARK KNIGHT MOVIE 2" Mini Mez-itz Figures and Toy Vehicles made by MEZCO. They will be sold in different boxed sets. The 1st one will feature the TUMBLER Batmobile & it comes with a Mini-Batman 2" Mez-itz Figure.
The next one will also be a "Vehicle Boxed Set" & it comes with Batman, The Joker, and The Bat-Pod Motorcycle all packaged together in a special collector window box.
Then, a 3rd Set will have four 2" Mez-itz Figures and you'll get Batman, The Joker, Scarecrow and Two-Face!
