Vintage 1960's Batman Promo Poster From Europe!

Our good friend Hans, who lives in The Netherlands, sent us this beautiful photo of an extremely RARE piece of Vintage 60's Batman Memorabilia! He wrote, " this is my latest find, a Dutch Batman & Robin Promo Poster 1967. This was a special mail-in order poster from a Dutch grocery store called Albert Heijn. If one did your shopping there you could save up for this poster." WOW! Thanks Han, this is truly super-rare & I seriously LOVE the vintage artwork! In fact, I went ahead & used your photo to make a Desktop Wallpaper ( down below ) that you, and Bat-Blog Readers, can enjoy. BATMAN DESKTOP WALLPAPER BACKGROUNDS

OK KIDS! It's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" again & it's time to present some Batman-themed Wallpapers you can use to brighten your desktop or use as a background in your MySpace layout. Both of these were generously contributed by 2 good friends of the Bat-Blog who also happen to be extremely talented graphic artists too! Their names are Chris Mason & Sean Hartter. Chris did the 1st one which is an original drawing he did of Adam West from the 1966 TV Show. It's totally wonderful! The crisp clean line are really sharp & this thing almost looks like a photo, very realisitic. The 2nd one is just as great & with this one Sean imagined "what if.." the 1989 Batman movie was released during the Victorian era? What would the advertisement poster for the film look like back then? Well, here it is!! I love the total "vintage look", it's very interesting, & a totally original idea too. BATMAN and ROBIN Vintage-Style Graphic Art Posters

Michael B. Myers is a 27 year old Graphic Designer and, as a personal project, he recently created a few "Vintage Style Superhero Posters" featuring a few of our favorite DC Comics characters. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - Brand New Teaser BATMAN MOVIE POSTER Released!

Over at the Official Warner Bros Website for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie they have released a brand-new Movie "Teaser" Poster. The central image is a broken Batman Mask laying on the floor and the Main Villain, BANE, is walking away from it. The Poster also has the phrase, "The Legend Ends". OH YEAH! THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - New CATWOMAN Batman Movie Poster

Warner Bros has been teasing everybody recently with a few brand-new Batman Movie Poster photos for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Here's one that I really like featuring CATWOMAN ( Anne Hathaway ). Well, actually it's just her character's boot heel crushing the bat-logo symbol, MEOW!

BEHOLD! Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian in ‘Iron Man 3′

Last week, we got our first official look at Don Cheadle upgraded from War Machine to Iron Patriot, which is now followed up in a timely fashion with this new character poster featuring Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian. Killian is one of three villains in Iron Man 3 along with Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin and James Badge Dale as Coldblood.

So without further ado, here’s Guy!

Damn. Even taking off your glasses in Iron Man 3 is going to be awesome.

Check Out the First “Poster” for ‘Thor: The Dark World’

With the release of Thor: The Dark World almost a year from now and filming still underway, you wouldn’t expect to see an actual poster anytime soon. Sure, there’s the official typography for the film, above, that was first seen when the title was announced but that’s not really a poster. This is a poster,

Almost, or as artist Olly Moss tweets it,

@v00d00m4n well, to be fair, that’s only 1/4th of the final poster.

This won’t be the final poster or even a teaser poster released for the film, but rather it’s a special poster made especially for the cast and crew which they’ll receive when production ends. Moss created a similar poster for the end of production on Thor, you can see it, along with more of his fabulous art, on his website.
