CUSTOM MIGHTY MUGGS FIGURES: Batman, The Joker, & The Scarecrow Too!

OK, This morning, when trying to decide what to post today, I got into a total "Celebrate Creativity" kind of mood, ha ha! Ya know, I like when Batman Fans get creative & make artwork or crafts to show their appreciation for the character. Some creative people out there like to customize things. Here's a great example: Here are 3 Custom Mighty Muggs Figures that have been totally repainted to look like Batman ( the Michael Keaton 1989 movie version ), The Joker ( Jack Nicholson, '89 version ), & The Scarecrow ( From the newer Batman Begins & The Dark Knight movies ). These are just so well done I had t post them! Plus, they're kinda funny too. Now, for people unfamiliar with the "toy business". Mighty Muggs Figures are made by Hasbro & they make actual products like this of G.I. Joe, Transformers, Star Wars, Raiders of The Lost Ark, Marvel Comics Superheroes, etc...but they DO NOT make DC Comic characters ( Mattel has the exclusive license ). So, for some people who love these figures, but want DC Universe-Style characters, they just go ahead & make their own. I hope you enjoyed these in some kinda way & if you actually make stuff like this then please let us know. Our e-mail button is ALWAYS at the top right-hand side of this page.

FUNKO TOY Company is Finally Making BATMAN Merchandise!!

OK, as both a Toy Collector & Dealer for many years I have totally been in love with a toy company named FUNKO. They make those really cool "Wacky Wobblers" or Bobble Head Nodders. The company has been around a few years now & there are literally hundreds of these nodders that they have made. They're really great! In recent years they have expanded their line of toys with other items like Small Plastic Figures, Toy Banks, PC Computer Monitor "Sitters", & even Plush Toys. Well, awhile back, here at the Bat-Blog, we reported that Funko was coming out with Justice League Plush Dolls. As soon as I heard that news I knew that they finally got the "DC Comics" license. You see, they have been making Marvel Comics Nodders for a few years now. So, here's the great news! It looks like they will be coming out with a few brand-new Batman items!! The 1st picture is a "Wacky Wobbler" where Batman's head wobbles on a Batmobile Car Body ( instead of the standard "human body", like most nodders ). They have made a few of these with characters like Rat Fink, Betty Boop, & even Count Chocula, among others. The next picture, showing the Dark Knight perched on the edge of something, that's a "Computer Sitter". It's a small plastic figure designed & balanced to sit on the top edge of you PC Monitor. I'm showing one that they made of Spiderman, as an example. There is also a rumor that they will make some "Funko Force" Figures of Batman as well. That's what that picture of Ironman is there for, to show an example. They are very small figures that have a weird "sort-of cartoon" look. I think they're releasing these slower selling products with Batman 1st & will later come out with a ton of regular nodders...which, WILL BE AWESOME!! So, be sure to stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for all future news, photos, & release dates ( I'm excited! ).

New BATMAN DC Universe PRODUCTS By Funko Toys!!

There's a toy company I really love named Funko & they're mainly known for making Wacky Wobblers ( Character-Related Bobblehead Nodders ). Well, they now have the license to do DC Comics Comic Book characters. Yes!! Now, the Bat-Blog reported about most of these new toys awhile back but we finally got some actual photos instead of prototype pics! Plus, some extra news. First the pics: Shown here are the "Batman Computer Sitter" figure, it's sa-weet! Look for it around August, 2010. The next item is the "Batman Wacky Wobbler Bobble-Car". Basically it's a bobble-head inside a Batmobile car...very cool! ( There will also be 2 color variations, one black, another blue ). Now the new stuff: The next few photos are their Funko-Force 2.0 Vinyl Figures. Shown here is Batgirl & 2 different Batman variations. OK, they look the same in these pics but one of the Batman figures have metallic paint. OK, the very last picture is totally amazing! Here are the 1st seven figures that will come out. We have Batgirl, Batman, Robin, Green Lantern ( what's he doing in there? Ha! ), Penguin, Joker, & The Riddler! Oh man, all this stuff is totally cool. Is Funko trying to torture me?! Well, what do you think about these new pieces of bat-merchandise?

BATMAN FUNKO FORCE - DC Universe Bobble Head Figures!

Anyone who has been reading the Bat-Blog for any length of time knows I am totally goo-goo over Funko Toys, ha ha, so check these out! Here's some wonderful photos of the brand-new FUNKO FORCE Mini-Action Figures ( with Bobble Head action! ) that will be coming out! At first I was just gonna show the BATMAN & JOKER ones, because this blog is mainly about "collecting Batman stuff", but the others were so cool I decided to add them too, ha ha! The extras include: SUPERMAN, GREEN LANTERN, & AQUAMAN. Oh man, I am totally loving these cool new toys & the JOKER one has got to be my personal favorite, ha! I also like that they all sort of have a retro-look about them, like they're from the 1980's. For information on other Funko products featured at the Bat-Blog just click HERE!

Keith's AWESOME BATMAN TOY COLLECTION Photos

Here are some very neat photos of a great collection of BATMAN TOYS sent to us by a friend over at facebook. His name is Keith & the cool thing is that he lives in Ireland. It looks like he is pretty serious about collecting all the Batman Movies on DVD. He really likes Action Figures, & if you look closely, you can see a lot of those Eaglemoss Pewter Figures. He has some great books & a few misc toys. Oh yeah, there is also an Autographed BATMAN Movie Script, very cool! ( I can make out the signatures of Danny DeVito & Michael Keaton, not sure who the 3rd one is ). I also like how everything is displayed. Thanks Keith, for sharing this. I always enjoy seeing other people's collections so if there are any other Bat-Collectors out there then please share some pics with us.

These Custom Made BATMAN Toys ROCK!

Here's a quick post to share a few photos sent in by 2 Bat-Blog Fans named John & Mike. They're both very creative people & have made some really cool Custom BATMAN Toys!

John's story goes like this:
For awhile he's been into finding old broken action figures & improving them. He said he has always wanted to do a Custom "Comic Action Penguin" & he recently found a broken one he could work on. Now, for people who don't know, "Comic Action" Figures were made around 1976 by MEGO & they practically have a cult following. One thing about them, that gives them a lot of charm, is that they were kinda cheesy, ha! But John gave his figure some new legs & custom paint job. The result is pretty impressive.

Mike's story goes like this:
Mike is a Father of 2 kids who totally love Cartoon Network's BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD animated series. They love to play with the toys and action figures of the characters from the TV show. But the problem was, no matter how hard they looked, they could never find the "Robin" figure & really wanted one. So, their Dad made them the 2 shown here. The 1st photo shows how he made a Robin figure to go with the regular Batman Action Figure from the toy line by Mattel. The 2nd photo shows a custom "Robin" toy of an "Action League" mini-figure. So, 2 different toy lines are covered here. Plus, Mike did an amazing job on these & the kids totally love playing with them! Thanks to both Toy Custom Artists for sharing their work. We want to invite all other Bat-Blog Fans out there to do the same.

New BATMAN TOYS and PRODUCTS Due in July 2012

Here's a weird "post idea" I came up with. Just post a bunch of Batman Toys that are due to be released, or are already out, in July. First up is the latest issue of Mad Magazine with a DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie Parody Cover. Speaking of that film, the next pic is a new Wall Mural Sticker made by a company called Roommates. Then we have a beautiful HARLEY QUINN Toon Tumbler Glass. From Mattel comes this set of 10-Inch Figure of both Batman and Bane. Then, the last pic shows a cool BATMAN Cliff Hanger Playset made by Matchbox. Whew!! OK, if anybody ( this means YOU ) sees ANY brand-new pieces of Bat-Merchandise then please let us know, thanks!!
