There is just no end to the cool geeky engagement rings people have been making lately. This one was designed by comic creator Josh Adams who was inspired by this R2-D2 design to come up with something special for his proposal to girlfriend Saori. Josh worked with the same artist behind the R2-D2 ring, Paul Bierker to turn Jake from Adventure Time into a symbol of true love.
The ring was even spotted by Adventure Time creator Pendelton Ward who commented on its coolness on his twitter feed:

This piece is called The Legend of Zelda's Wise Ear Bend with Hanging Spiritual Stones and Triforce. It's green colored wire adorned with The Ocarina of Time's three spiritual stones: Kokiri's Emerald, Goron's Ruby, and the Zora Sapphire.

If you can’t have superhero powers, you might as well smell like one. The Avengers Assembled Cologne Set is now available in the Nerd Approved Shop!
The set comes with four fragrances representing Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Thor. Each scent is supposed to smell just like the character, but I don’t know how they figured it out. I’d be very interested to sample each of these. If nothing else though, the bottles are cool and given the affordable price, I’d consider buying them just to put on display.

One of my goals for this year is to learn the names and locations of more constellations. I think I’ll help myself remember them by putting them on a scarf. You read that right.
The craft from Katie of A Beautiful Mess is creative and cool. It looks simple too – you just need a scarf, some craft foam, fabric paint, embroidery floss, and a few other basics. I recommend getting a large scarf so you can plot all of your favorites.

You may have teased friends about being so hairy they look like they’re wearing a Wookiee fur coat, but this jacket makes that jab an actual thing. The coat is part of Mark Ecko’s Star Wars collection, and the designer realized that even though a Chewbacca jacket is fun, it’s not an everyday look – so he made the jacket reversible.
Wear it fur side out to rock the Wookiee look or change it so you’re simply donning a brown coat that has a Rebel Alliance symbol and a fur trimmed hood. Pretty clever in my opinion.

I have to say that nerdy engagement rings that symbolize someone’s love for a game, movie, or book make me happy. I think it’s cool when anything has that sort of impact on someone; it’s similar to someone getting a tattoo from his or her favorite fandom.
