Awhile back, here at the Bat-Blog, we featured some Batman/Joker Tattoo Art Photos that had been sent in by a reader named Luis. If you read that post then you might remember that I said he sent us more photos & here are 2 more. The 1st one is a picture of Luis with his lovely wife. For their wedding day he designed some special wedding rings that he had custom-made. OK, you might have to click on the photo for a larger version (where you can see the details) but the 2nd picture is a close-up photo of the actual wedding rings. If you look very closely you can see THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Bat-Symbol Logo on both of them. Now, how cool is that?! Any woman who would allow "Batman" on her wedding ring is certainly worth marrying, ha ha! I wanna wish them all the best & really, they do seem like a very nice couple. Luis, hang on to her, she's a "keeper"!

OK, I never post links to eBay auction items but this is a very RARE opportunity to get an actual piece of Batman Movie History! A friend of mine, named Markus, is having his friend in Canada sell an item for him from his movie memorabilia collection because he needs some quick cash. He's selling the original screen-used "Robin - Ice Suit Gloves" that Chris O'Donnell wore in the 1997 Batman and Robin movie by Joel Schumacher. The photos here are of those items & then there's a reference photo showing how they looked in the film. You might remember an older post here where we showed his Batman Cowl & Robin Mask that he also owns. For more info, or to actually bid on this item ( the auction ends on April 20th ), click on ROBIN ICE GLOVES.

I came across a podcast today that I knew I had to share here because it is "Batman-related" & extremely interesting. Bob Andelman, know as "Mr. Media", interviews Michael Uslan. This is the guy who has produced all the Batman movies we all love, from Batman 1989 to The Dark Knight. Currently, he's working on bringing Shazam & The Shadow to the big screen. So, if you're a fan of the Batman Films then be sure to listen to this fun interview.

Our friend Luis sent this photo of when he saw Batman, the Dark Knight. Not the movie but the life-size statue! Ha Ha, this was at a major toy store in Spain. I love that Batman is popular all over the world, that's cool! Thanks Luis, for sending the awesome pic!

On April 17th the Bat-Blog introduced you to an artist named MAX who lives in Bretagne, France. He's the guy who created & sculpted that "Life-Size Heath Ledger JOKER" Statue Bust. I'm showing it in the very 1st photo to jog your memory but the post is mainly about this other piece, The Batman! YES! Max has done another one & this one is Batman ( The Dark Knight movie version ) & it's just as incredible! Just check out the photos. This artist's work is totally insane! Max was kind enough to allow me to post these photos & I really appreciate that. I love sharing Batman news & other stories but seeing an extremely talented artist be inspired by the Batman character is just awesome. Thanks Max....we look forward to seeing MORE art from you soon!

Just the other day I received some extremely cool photos from a Bat-Fan named Andreas. He likes to focus a part of his Batman Collection on the crazy bootleg toys that are made in other countries. His pictures show some really great examples! The 1st one looks like it's from China & it features imagery from the 1989 Batman movie. There's The Caped Crusader, Vicki Vale, The Joker, The Bat-Wing, & The Batmobile Car. But wait! Who's that villain-goon with the eye-patch? I don't remember him in the movie, ha ha! The second toy comes from Sweden & it's one of those "Water Maze" trinkets. I really love the "bat-shape" design, very cool! The 3rd piece, also from China, is a Set of Spiderman & Batman Action Figures It looks like they're ripping off TWO movies at the same time, ha ha! The last item is one of my favorites. I think so because it just has a great vintage look about it. It's a kite with an image of PINK Batman...pink! I wanna thank Andreas for sending these these in, they're all wonderful! Thank you. I also wanna invite any other readers to share any kind of Batman Photos, Information, Ideas, or whatever! Our e-mail button is always at the top right-hand side of this page.
This video is an extremely well-done fan-made "movie trailer" for a Batman Fan-Film titled ARKHAM. It's done with CGI 3-D Computer Graphics & is NOT related to the current video game titled "Arkham Asylum". It features Dr. Harley Quinn & her patient, The Joker. The sound effects & music are really excellent so be sure to crank-up your speakers, enjoy!

OK, I know that the Batman & Robin movie was not that great, & the Mr. Freeze character in that film was totally lame, but this is "Batman News" so I thought I would post it, ha ha! You might remember awhile back we reported about the cool bat-memorabilia featured in a recent Profiles In History auction. Well, the Mr. Freeze Costume sold for $70,800 dollars! WOW! That totally blows me away. I always wonder who are these super-rich people who can afford to buy this kinda stuff, it must be nice! ( Yeah, I'm poor & bitter ). But Profiles in History always has some really amazing stuff & their website is worth checking out everyday.
BATMAN: BLOOD AND MUD REDUX - 3D animation - contains violent graphic images. Reticom Films has re-issued it's fan-made film but with a few extra scenes & better quality. It's based upon the acclaimed graphic novel by Frank Miller's THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS. "In a not distant future, Bruce Wayne now retired from his vigilante duties, watches the city of Gotham burn under the merciless attacks of a new criminal breed, The Mutants. Bruce's alter ego torments his mind, waiting the moment when the dark knight returns to avenge Gotham one last time." This animated flick by Thiago Micalopulos, produced by Carolina Romano, Music by Jeremy Flinders. A. Spliff Rosa, Mac Cauley, Carolina Romano, James La maquina.

OK KIDS! It's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" again & it's time to present some Batman-themed Wallpapers you can use to brighten your desktop or use as a background in your MySpace layout. Both of these were generously contributed by 2 good friends of the Bat-Blog who also happen to be extremely talented graphic artists too! Their names are Chris Mason & Sean Hartter. Chris did the 1st one which is an original drawing he did of Adam West from the 1966 TV Show. It's totally wonderful! The crisp clean line are really sharp & this thing almost looks like a photo, very realisitic. The 2nd one is just as great & with this one Sean imagined "what if.." the 1989 Batman movie was released during the Victorian era? What would the advertisement poster for the film look like back then? Well, here it is!! I love the total "vintage look", it's very interesting, & a totally original idea too. Right now I wanna thank both of them for sending in such cool stuff. Thanks guys! If there are any other readers who would like to contribute then, hey, just contact us today...thanks again!

This week, for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday", I thought I would post these 2 Desktop Backgrounds I made of scenes from the new DC Universe animated movie "SUPERMAN / BATMAN: PUBLIC ENEMIES". Just judging from the recent trailer it looks pretty AWESOME! I have also included some information from Warner Bros about the different DVD formats. So, here we go! Basically they're gonna sell it as a Single DVD, a 2-Disc DVD Special Edition, & a Blu-Ray Disc Version. The release date for this will be around September 29th, 2009. Here's how they break down:

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies - 2 Disc Special Edition version will have more than three hours of incredible bonus features, including:
* Featurettes
o The Blackest Night: Inside the DC Comics Event: Behind-the-scenes of BLACKEST NIGHT, the epic DC Super Hero event in which the dead shall rise.
o A Test of Minds: Superman and Batman featurette with Jeph Loeb, giving viewers a fresh and revitalized look at the team-up of Superman and Batman working together despite their often competitive and challenging relationship.
o "Dinner with DC: With Special Guest Kevin Conroy": Reprising his role from Batman: The Animated Series, Kevin Conroy joins the crew for dinner to discuss their creative approach and what the Superman/Batman team-up means. The evening will be hosted by Voice Director Andrea Romano, Producer Bruce Timm and DC's Gregory Noveck
* Extended Sneak Peak at Next DCU Film
* Digital Copy Download
* Widescreen (1.78:1)
* Two Episodes of Justice League Unlimited hand-picked by animation legend Bruce Timm

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies Blu-Ray versions will have more than three-and-a-half hours of bonus materials, including all the great extras from the 2-disc Special Edition as well as two additional episodes of Justice League Unlimited and two episodes from Justice League, both personally selected by fan-favorite Bruce Timm.Warner Premiere is excited to continue this successful partnership with DC Comics, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Home Video to present feature-length PG-13 animated original films with the film-making and celebrity voice starpower of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.Based on the past success of Superman Doomsday and Batman Gotham Knight, we know the pairing of the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight - pitted against both their DC Super Hero colleagues and the entire rogue's gallery of DC villains - will offer fans the level of entertainment normally reserved for the big, summer blockbuster films.This is the ultimate film for DC animation lovers featuring not only the cornerstone characters of comic book and Saturday morning heroes, but also returns the seminal voices of those characters - Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy and Clancy Brown - in a story that explores the Superman/Batman dynamic and allows Lex Luthor to shine in ultimate villainy.

OK, we have already reported here at the Bat-Blog that BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD - VOLUME ONE Animated Cartoon TV Series will soon be released on DVD August 25th ( almost exactly 1 month from now ). Well, here is the cover art for VOLUME TWO that will come out on November 10th, I guess, just in time for Christmas. Now, both 1 & 2 will only have 4 episodes each. Looks like Warner Bros ( or maybe the Cartoon Network ) is trying to stretch out how they release these episodes. It seems logical to me that they might also release these later as a complete set titled "Season 1"...we'll see. This Vol # 2 will also feature the trailer for the PUBLIC ENEMIES: BATMAN/ SUPERMAN animated film that is set to be released around September 29th. Amazon has Volume 1 available for pre-order by clicking here:

Here are some really nice photos of a wonderful custom paint job for an electric guitar. It now has a "Batman Theme" that seems to have been inspired by the new THE DARK KNIGHT movie. It was made during the summer by a friend named Vince. I think it's pretty cool! On the front he painted a sunburst pattern with a Bat-Symbol Logo near the bottom. There is also a batsymbol on the back too. One thing to notice also is the very end of the neck was carved into a bat shape, a nice detail there! Overall it came out really great & is now a beautiful piece of art. The cool thing...it can play some serious music too! Thank you Vince for sharing these pics with us. You did an awesome job on this & you should be very proud. You ROCK, Sir!
Sort of by accident today the Bat-Blog is featuring a lot of custom items that were inspired by THE DARK KNIGHT movie. But when I saw this video a friend sent me I knew it had to be posted right away, it's cool! This is the video by a guy who made a Custom Tumbler Batmobile Car Go-Kart. It's totally beautiful. I know I'd love to have one, ha ha! We featured this thing here awhile back, but they were just photos. Now, we get to see the thing in action. OK, get ready to drool!
A friend sent this video to me because he felt it was "sort of Batman-related". Basically it's a cute girl, who just saw the 1966 Batman Movie with Adam West & Burt Ward, telling everybody they need to watch it. Well, I could not agree more...it's a classic!
This Warner Bros Promo Video is an interesting first look at the new "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies" animated film. Now, I have not seen this movie yet but I've really been looking forward to seeing it since viewing the 1st trailer. Check It Out!!

The very split-second I saw this beautiful piece of BAT-ART I knew it had to be posted at the Bat-Blog, ha ha! I just recently met this guy named Dave who likes to customize toys. He loves the 1966 Batman TV Show & Movie so he likes to make toys that they never made back then...sort of like "fantasy toys". Shown here is a replica of the 1966 Batman Movie Bat-Copter for a Custom 12" Adam West Batman Figure. Now of course the Bat-Copter is in perfect scale for this doll because he really used the Vintage 1970's GI Joe Adventure Team Helicopter! Yes! The one you got in the "Search For The Stolen Idol" Play Set. Now, I had this exact GI Joe toy as a little kid & totally loved. I mean, I really loved this toy! In fact, this was probably one of my Top 5 very best childhood memories. So, as soon as I saw this custom toy, I knew what he used to make it!! Now, on to Dave's '66 Bat-Copter. I've posted a few additional photos of the original GI Joe AT toy & a photo of the original Bat-Copter from the 60's movie. Looking at then both you can sort of see how he worked out all the details. Then you'll realize how great his Custom Job really is! He's got all the colors down pretty accurate. There's a Bat-Symbol on the gas tanks, a bat-shape on the lower front windshield, the famous "Bat-Wings", etc...Great Job Dave & thank you for allowing me to share your photo with everybody. I know that many people will totally love this thing!!

I get e-mails all the time from Bat-Blog readers & totally love it! But I gotta say that this one was sort of special. These pics came from a friend named Justin who sent a photo of himself when he was a little kid playing with some of his Batman Toys. The cool thing is that he still has those toys today. So, the 1st few photos are the Batman items he still has now & then the very last photo is him with those toys many years ago, as a kid. You can see that he had some of the stuff from the 1989 Batman movie by Tim Burton. This line of Action Figures was made by ToyBiz. There's Batman, Robin, The Joker, & Bob The Goon ( Joker's Sidekick ). He also still has his original Batmobile & Joker Van too! Now, these photos of his toys & the old photos are pretty cool, but the really neat thing is that now he has a son who's totally into Batman & he has taken a few shot of him with his brand-new bat-toys ( NOT Dad's stuff ! ). Trust me, in the future people are going to be saying, "Wow, what neat OLD Batman Toys"...ha ha. For this post I am showing Justin & his Vintage Toys from yesteryear. Then, in a later post, we will show the modern-day photos.

Here at the Bat-Blog we post 2 exclusive Batman Wallpaper Backgrounds every Wednesday! This week I am pretty proud to say that 2 of these were sent in by Bat-Blog Readers. ( Oh yeah, I guess I should also say that we are posting THREE WALLPAPERS this week! ) They both did the art themselves. The 1st one was done by our friend Sean Harrter. It has a distinct style that I can not express right now. It looks sort of like a handbill or an advertisement from the 16th Century. Or maybe not, sorry I'm having a hard time explaining it but it looks awesome! The 2nd one, with the 1989 Batman Movie image, was done by a new contributor named Andrew. He said this took about 8 hours to draw. He actually drew it with some computer program. Of course it is the Michael Keaton ( Tim Burton Style ) Batman. The 3rd wallpaper was made by me from some artwork I randomly found on the web. The subject matter came about because of a Bat-Blog Reader's request for Clayface. So, here it is with a really nice pencil drawing of Batman & Clayface in battle. Now, I have a few other Clayface Wallpapers that I will post after I get permission from the artists. For now, I wanna thank everybody for helping this week! If anyone else has some requests for a certain character then please let us know. Also, if you have some graphics you made that you would like to send to use as wallpaper then that would be great too!
