At this rate they're all getting a movie.
Wired recently wrote an article on the guy who makes the Marvel Cinematic Universe happen, Kevin Feige. He was there when it first started, he's the one laying the roadmap... and he let slip an interesting nugget during the interview.
The whole article is actually fairly fascinating; Feige comes off like a nerd livin' the dream. But for our purposes, the relevant item is this:
"I could arguably say what we're planning for the year 2021," Feige told WIRED. "Will that happen? I don't know. But what we planned for 2015 in 2006 is happening."
This raises the question of what his plan is, in the first place. We know sequels to Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers are on the way, and Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man are in the works. And that there are three unnamed films on the way for 2016 and 2017. But man, that's a tantalizing hint.
We know what a few of these movies will be: Black Panther was heavily hinted at a while back and Doctor Strange has been in development for a while as well. But Marvel has also been pretty consistent, putting out two movies a year, every year, since 2011. 2014 and 2015 are holding to the same pattern.
So if that holds, there are another eight movies Marvel is thinking about making, and they can't all be sequels. Let the speculation begin!
Costume Craze is preparing for the release of Iron Man 3 with some fun new costumes. Their fabric styles are much lighter and more comfortable than armor; it’s an easy way to dress like the superhero! Their selection includes Mark 42 armor and Iron Patriot armor. They also have femme Iron Man (which is intended as a nod to Pepper Potts wearing armor in the movie) and kid-sized outfits available.
You can’t order these just yet, but you can expect the pricing to be in the $30-$60 range. Costume Craze will also have movie quality versions soon.

It’s hard not to have an affection for giant insect movies. Granted, we’re not generally talking classics of film here, but then again, you don’t show up to a burger joint and complain about the lack of foie gras on the menu. And ‘Big Ass Spider!’ looks like one tasty burger.

In case you hadn’t guessed, it’s a story of a man and a spider trying to reconcile their forbidden love.
OK, OK, so it looks deliberately campy, but the movie itself is clearly shooting for a Tremors type vibe. Mike Mendez, the director, has a long career directing horror movies, and he’s also an experienced editor.
And if nothing else, seeing LA get destroyed by a giant alien spider is always a good time, especially in a movie where Satan has command of the military and our last hope is Eric from Alias.

While we haven’t heard much about it, Sin City 2 is in fact in production, very quietly shooting in Austin off and on.
One of the major roadblocks, though, was the death of Michael Clarke Duncan, who played Manute in the first film and was arguably the best casting. So Dennis Haysbert will be filling in.
Saith The Hollywood Reporter:
“Manute is a character that has been part of the heart of the Sin City tales, and the late Michael Clarke Duncan beautifully established that role onscreen,” said Rodriguez and Miller in a statement to Heat Vision. “We could not tell the story of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For without Manute and are thrilled to welcome Dennis Haysbert to the cast.”
Of course, to most people, he’s the Allstate Guy, or the President on 24. So basically the Allstate Guy will be waxing rhapsodic about the beauty of Rachel Weisz.
You know, that actually sounds fairly awesome.

Revenge Of The Sith is arguably the only Star Wars prequel that’s genuinely good. The story itself is fundamentally unnecessary: While it adds a slight bit of depth to Vader’s character in A New Hope, there’s nothing here we need to actually enjoy said classic. But on its own merits, it’s a fun slice of self-serious pulp.
Unless, apparently, you are noted feminist author and social critic Camille Paglia.
To be fair, Paglia is, in addition to being a controversy magnet, a respected academic and most of the time not nearly as daffy as she’s normally portrayed once you bother to read her work. And she’s not arguing that Revenge of the Sith is the best movie of the last thirty years.
She’s arguing it’s the best work of art created, period, in the last thirty years.
Well, what about Revenge of the Sith? You say it’s the greatest work of art, in any medium, created in the last 30 years. It's better than… uh, Matthew Barney or Rachel Whiteread or Chris Ware or Peter Doig?
Yes, the long finale of Revenge of the Sith has more inherent artistic value, emotional power, and global impact than anything by the artists you name. It’s because the art world has flat-lined and become an echo chamber of received opinion and toxic over-praise.
Then the interview turns to discussing why artists can’t take penises seriously. Which is actually part of Paglia’s ongoing work. Makes you wonder what she thinks lightsabers are.
There is, of course, more than a hint of “You goddamn kids” in this opinion, considering that Revenge Of The Sith is made by somebody roughly Paglia’s age in a mode that the word “old-fashioned” doesn’t begin to truly describe. She’s also willfully ignoring a lot of artistic work in film in favor of a movie almost nobody else actually thinks about all that much anymore.
On the other hand, it is fairly safe to say that Revenge of the Sith is better than a series of avant-garde movies named after a muscle found in the nutsack and filling a house with concrete. So we’re with you that far, Professor Paglia.
