George R.R. Martin's A Dance with Dragons hit the shelves in 2011 and we fans are now caught up in the indeterminably long interlude between book 5 and book 6. While we wait, we have seasons of the Game of Thrones television series to look forward to and the occasional teaser from Martin about his new book. Now, in a recent interview, Martin may have slipped up a bit and dropped a major spoiler for The Winds of Winter. Check it out below and see what you think.

In an interview with io9, when asked about long-term character arc planning, Martin had this to say:
"Some major characters - yes, I always had plans, what Tyrion's arc was gonna be through this, what Arya's arc was gonna be through this, what Jon Snow's arc is gonna be. I knew what the principal deaths were gonna be, and when they were coming. That would be the closest thing."
The thing that's making people think he may have spoiled the next book, in case you didn't see it, is the presence of the word "is" following Jon Snow's name. Those who have read the fifth book know Snow gets more than a few knives in the back and is presumed dead. What Martin had to say could easily have been a simply misstep of grammar, or it could be evidence of Snow's continuing presence in the book.
Personally, I've had a running bet that Snow is coming back zombie-style via the Red Witch's spooky god powers, the same way he did it with Catelyn. The rest of you can take what you want from Martin's words.
