Syfy's six part series Heroes of Cosplay premieres on August 13. The reality show looks like it will focus on the prep leading up to a big contest as well as spending time on what life as a cosplayer is like. This first extended look at the series gives me hope that it is not about drama - real or manufactured - but more about the process and creativity involved. Though I'm sure there will be some incidents, I think this show may actually give people insight on how and why cosplayers do what they do. I'm looking forward to tuning in!
