Vampire Knight: Souen Ruka

Loyally and faithfully dedicated to Kuran Kaname, Ruka has had strong feelings for Kaname even when they were still children. She has even offered her blood to Kaname in order to ease his hunger, but he has only done so once to protect Yuki from his urge to bite her. Although Ruka first despises Yuki for being chosen by Kaname to be his lover, Ruka eventually accepts her and remains ever vigilant in serving her Lord.

Beautiful Ruka. There have been a lot of Vampire Knight cosplayers going around for a while. Hino Matsuri must have a lot of fans by now. Great job on this cosplay!

Card Captor Sakura: Li Syaoran 02

Sakura's rival who eventually became her close friend and ally, Syaoran had mixed feelings towards Sakura because his duty as a member of the Li clan of sorcerers from Hong Kong prompts him to be the inheritor of the Clow Cards. When Sakura becomes the official master of the Clow Cards, however, he changes his attitude completely and eventually ends up falling in love with her.

The teddy bear in the picture is quite significant with regards to their relationship. In the CCS world, if someone were to give a hand-made plush to the one he loves, and if she were to give the plush the same name as its creator, they are destined to be together forever. What happens in the anime and the manga are two variations of the same ending, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone.

Pretty unique way of cosplaying Syaoran. I believe his costume is from another art illustration by CLAMP. Still very impressive though, wouldn't you agree?

Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei Cast

The story of Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei revolves around a pessimistic high school teacher named Itoshiki Nozomu. Tired with life, he decides to end it all by hanging himself on a sakura tree, not counting on getting saved by his extremely optimistic student, Fuura Kafuka. Nozomu later finds out that his entire homeroom class has different, and extreme personality quirks that he must overcome.

I'm not familiar with the series, so I can't really name all of the students shown here. Can you name each and every last character in the photo?

Junjou Romatica: Kusama Nowaki

Kusama Nowaki was an infant orphan left during a heavy storm. It was then that the head of the orphanage named him "Nowaki" meaning typhoon in Japanese. He is a kind and understanding person who initially studied to become a social worker, but soon changed his mind and would rather become a pediatrician instead.

I do believe this is a girl cosplayer since the series is shounen-ai, or boys' love. Still very impressive, nonetheless. Thanks to Kuran Yuuki for contributing this photo! I wouldn't have known who the character was if it wasn't for her.

Bleach: Sarugaki Hiyori

The former lieutenant of the 12th Division under captain Hikifune Kirio and Urahara Kisuke, Hiyori is a violent girl with a fierce temper who took the longest time to defeat her inner hollow. Even after she became a Visored, she still abuses Hirako Shinji, often using one of her sandles to slap him in the face, or even using him as a human sheild.

I think there was a change from "Vizard" to "Vizored" at some point, not sure when and why. But she's a rather charming Hiyori, don't you agree? I don't want to get in her way, unless I need a slap on the face. Great cosplay!

Sengoku Basara: Nouhime

Things have been pretty hectic around here that I haven't had time to update my blog. I hope I didn't let my readers down! But family and work is preventing me from taking care of Cosplay Holic.

Now then, this is a nice photo, even if you don't like cosplays. It looks like she purposefully painted the red sections of her kimono and the gold butterflies all around it. I'm not sure, but those look like fans she's waving around, right?

Any idea which game or anime she could be from?

Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicle: Sakura 02

Sakura, the Princess of Clow Kingdom, lost her powers and her memories because of a powerful force, causing her to be weak and confused. Her memories take the form of feathers scattered in different dimensions which she and Syaoran must collect in order to return Sakura back to normal.

Ichihara Yuuko aids them by giving her Mokona, in exchange for her memories of Syaoran. Yuuko calls her "a favored daughter of the gods" due to her unbelievable good luck.

Another beautiful cosplayer from Comiket! Unfortunately, we can't see her face clearly, but the photography is still superb. Wonderful job to both the cosplayer and the photographer!
