Bleach: Kyoraku Shunsui and Yadomaru Lisa

Approximately 110 years before the series began, Lisa was the Lieutenant of the 8th Division then under Captain Shunsui Kyoraku. She was known to engage in reading to the youngest female member of the 8th Division, Ise Nanao, during the first day of each month. Although she seems detached and secretive, Lisa does have a playful side similar to Kyoraku's, as the two often shared mutual advances toward each other.

Another beautiful piece by Filipina cosplayer, Juliann Ysabel! I just wonder who the cosplayer behind Shunsui is. Thanks again for allowing me to feature this! And please visit Ysabel's Facebook Page for more photos!

Angel Beats!: Iwasawa Masami

My days end as I'm trying to find where to vent my irritation

The sky is gray, I can't see anything beyond
?
People who act like they have common sense are laughing; what kind of lie will they tell next?
?

How can they treasure what they obtain with those lies?

But we've got to move ahead, toward tomorrow

So I'm going to sing like this

"My Song" Lyrics and Translation by
Anime Lyrics
Beautiful cosplay of one of my favorite characters from Angel Beats! It's too bad we didn't get to see more of her from the anime. I think I might like her a bit more that Yui. Thanks again to Lily for sending this in!

Vocaloid 2: Kagamine Len, Kaito, and Kamui Gakupo

To love and be loved to the point of going mad
IMITATION
The sweet inferno burning kiss is an Imitation

Senses numbing and consciousness slowly fading

The overflowing emotions all over me.

Just Paint It All Over In Black!!!

"Imitation Black" Lyrics and Translation by
Vocalochu

This is probably one of my most favorite Vocaloid songs, so you can guess why I jumped at the opportunity to feature this. Cain, the contributor, said that one of the cosplayers featured here is Tasha. Can anyone confirm this?

Touhou Project: Izayoi Sakuya and Flandre Scarlet

Because she was ordered by her sister Remilia never to leave the mansion for nearly 500 years, Flandre Scarlet knows very little about the outside world. In fact, she has never had any substantive contact with humans before the events of the Extra Stage from the "Embodiment of Scarlet Devil". Izayoi Sakuya is the only exception, as she is the maid of the mansion with Remilia as her mistress.

This is so cute! You can almost hear Sakuya telling the young mistress not to move as she adjust her ribbon! Flandre looks like she's a very good girl. Thanks to Jane for sending this and please view the rest of the photo shoot from Hasui!

Final Fantasy VIII: Squall Leonhart 02

Squall has a very distinct rivalry with Seifer Almasy. From early on, a duel between two gave Squall his characteristic facial scar and subsequently a mirrored one to Seifer. Incidentally, whenever Squall and Seifer are supposed to be cooperating on a mission, there are always squabbles between the two cadets.

Seifer later allied himself with the Sorceress, requiring Squall to battle him several times. Despite all their conflict, however, Squall still feels an underlying camaraderie for Seifer.

That's a rather handsome looking Squall, I must say. Sadly, I believer the cosplayer may be a girl. In any case thanks to Jay for sending this in!

Cosplay Camp (and a Little Sword Tutorial)

Oh No! Manga Cosplay Camp 2012 will be starting in a few hours, and I've managed to create a cosplay prop sword from my premier series, "Karma"!

I encourage everyone to attend as I will also be taking pictures of the cosplayers attending to be featured on Cosplay Holic. But of course, not everyone is from the Philippines, so I decided that I should add the sword tutorial for this post as well.

It's not a formal tutorial, but you can find my work in progress posts in my blog:

• Initial skeleton and strengthening
• Blade finishing
• Hilt: the cross guard, hand guard, and pommel
• Design detailing
• Painting
• Final Result

A formal tutorial should be posted in a few days. For now, I'll leave you guys with this, and if you have any questions, you can post a comment here or in each of my blog posts for anything specific.

See you at Cosplay Camp! ( -*)
